Tapping Into The Inner Goddess: A Mixed Media Immersion Weekend

SPRING CLASSES ARE HERE! Sign up for my mailing list to be notified of all my workshops.

This is where you will find my workshop schedule. Can't make one of the dates? If you are a group of 8 or more, either bring them here or I'll come to you! Details in ART PARTIES.

These workshops are ABSOLUTELY NOT copy the teacher classes—quite the opposite. We will all begin with a clean board or canvas so that we are exploring together. I teach technique much like a recipe, telling you step by step what we are doing, answering questions and making recommendations along the way, if desired. Color and design choices are always up to the individuals. You will be surprised and amazed at how we all set out with the same tools and instructions and then end up with so many varied, unique, beautiful pieces.

All workshops feature professional grade GOLDEN Acrylic Paints and Mediums.

My ONLINE CLASSES with Carla Sonheim Productions can be found HERE.

“You are really an amazing artist and a wonderful teacher.  You have a very kind and generous spirit and that totally comes out in your art and your teaching.” ~Sally March

“Wanted to let you know  how much I enjoyed your class yesterday and for your warm hospitality. Thanks for opening your heart ❤️. You are a great teacher!” ~Janet Colainni

“Thank you again for the fantastic workshop! I'm very proud of my tree and I showed pictures of it to my extended family in Italy and received many praises. Also you are a wonderful host offering us  beverages and lunch that fits everybody's needs. I felt very comfortable with  everybody and I'm very grateful for your generosity as a person, teacher and artist.” ~Laura DeSantis

Tapping Into The Inner Goddess: A Mixed Media Immersion Weekend

GUEST INSTRUCTOR! Two full days, Saturday and Sunday, November 2-3, 10:00 - 4:00 p.m.

I’m pleased to announce two full days with my dear friend and talented colleague, Natalie Alleyne, who will be the guest instructor for this fun, exploratory, immersive, color and shape filled weekend class! Tuition includes instruction, handouts, ALL your supplies, refreshments and lunch each day. This special workshop is limited to 9 participants… I expect it to fill, so please don’t delay if you are interested.

This two full-day workshop is about reclaiming your power and Magic, defining your own rules and painting a beautiful Goddess who embodies these things. It’s time to examine the ways society deems women should be and dismantle that to create our own rules. Through this workshop, you will learn to creatively tap into and express your own intuition. There will be basic face drawing instruction, so beginners don’t fear! You will also learn various mixed-media techniques that will help you create a finished piece that will have you amazed!

***You need NO PREVIOUS art experience to enjoy this workshop. Just an open heart!***

Throughout the workshop, we’ll work with a full line of GOLDEN acrylic paints and mediums, a variety of drawing materials as well as collage elements. The finished piece will be a 16x20” canvas.

Natalie Alleyne has been a dear and trusted friend and professional colleague of mine for many years. Her love of color, faces and trees bloomed when she moved to the island of St. Maarten in the Caribbean. She spent five years there, and has used that experience to shape many of the works that she creates. Considering herself a ‘colorist’, Natalie’s work is always sparked by vibrant hues, no matter the content. Faces and trees frequent her canvases with the artistic license of abstract patterns, color and texture. The vibrant colors of the Caribbean, the beautiful scenery and expressive people have been the backbone of much of her work.

Natalie is also an initiate in an African spiritual system, which motivates HOW she works. She feels she is just a vehicle within which spirit moves to bring creativity to the world.

Natalie’s work can be found in a myriad of private art collections both in the United States and abroad, and has been seen in numerous exhibitions. She is also an educator, teaching a plethora of art disciplines, from painting to mosaic. She currently lives and works in Union New Jersey. .
